Gabriel Aguirre Alandia doesn't paint for you to understand it; he paints for you to feel it. In a dimly lit corner, surrounded by wet canvases and remains of dry paint on his fingers, this artist, with more than 25 years of career, wields his spatula like a warrior his sword. He doesn't seek perfection, but the truth.
His technique is a manifesto: forgotten brushes, replaced by palettes that scrape with fury; industrial paint that screams on the canvas; sponges that blur as if they were erasing scars, and jets of color that fall like heavy tears. Each tool, each movement, is an act of rebellion against monotony.
